Robo-Mobile is a Robotics workshop about controlling the robot using a cell phone/mobile based on DTMF technology. DTMF also known as Touch Tone is a signaling system which is used to identify the pressed push button in a DTMF keypad.... Use of a mobile phone for robot control can overcome these limitations.

Overview


Mobile Robotics Workshop mainly focuses on Mobile communication and Micro controller programming necessary for the development of a mobile controlled robot. DTMF stands for “Dual tone multiple frequency” using a dedicated modem/mobile at the receiver module, the robot itself sends the commands using DTMF tones as per the required actions. Use of a mobile phone for robotic control can overcome limitations like limited working, frequency range & control. Students would develop a robot that can be controlled by calling the mobile phone placed on the Robot and pressing the keys on their mobile phone.
